GTY Publications Page “Transformative Narratives” Now Live

The Global Taskforce for Youth Combatants (GTY) has opened a Publications page entitled “Transformative Narratives.” This platform is designed to gather and convey the powerful voices, ideas, and reflections of people directly affected by armed conflict to the international community, and to facilitate discussions around the presence, rights, and empowerment of Youth Associated with Non-State Armed Groups (YANSAG)*.

The page will feature blog posts sharing the lived experiences and passionate messages toward peace from GTY members, YANSAG, survivors of armed conflict, and peacebuilders worldwide. By amplifying their stories and perspectives, GTY seeks to bring greater global attention to the transformative power of unseen youth, YANSAG.

In addition to personal narratives, the Publications page will also present academic research papers and opinion articles that address the rights, empowerment, and unique roles of YANSAG in peacebuilding. They will also examine issues affecting young people in armed conflict through diverse academic perspectives, including political science, law, sociology, and historical studies. Drawing on practical experiences in peacebuilding and related fields, contributors will provide valuable insights and viewpoints, shedding light on the unique potential of YANSAG and informing new approaches toward sustaining peace. The page will also feature GTY’s policy proposals aimed at advancing international norm-setting on YANSAG.

Updates and announcements on new publications will be shared regularly through our website and social media channels. We invite you to stay connected with this initiative.
